Pack 527
Saugus, CA
Welcome to Pack 527!
We are a pack of about 50 enthusiastic Cub Scouts, their
dedicated leaders and their supportive parents. This website
is designed to provide information to enrich the scouting
experience for our scouts and their families. If you are a
scout in our pack, use this site to help you keep track of our
upcoming events. If you are not a scout but think you might
want to become one, we hope this site will offer you some
guidance as well.

Committee Chair search
A reminder that our Committee Chair stepped down
from her position at the Blue & Gold ceremony. It is
very difficult for a pack to run Chair-less, so we are
looking for a parent to step up and take on this very
important role. If you would like more information on
what this position involves, please contact the
Webmaster or Kelsey.
At our March Pack meeting, we challenged our scouts to
build the tallest tower they could with only
mini-marshmallows and toothpicks and teamwork. We
had some very creative designs and a lot of very active
brains at work. Congratulations to our scouts for
stepping up to the challenge! Pictures here.
March Marshmallow Enginneering
On April 26th, our pack went to the races! Our boys built
some fast and creative Pinewood cars and competed head
to head in our annual Pinewood Derby. Wow, we had
some close races, including one that needed to be rerun 6
times, because it was too close to call! Pictures here.
May Pack meeting
Our next pack meeting will be May 27th at
Mountainview's MPR from 7-8 pm. This is also a
recruitment meeting, so bring along a friend who
might be interested in joining our pack! Pack dues
of $50 will also be due at this time.
Advancement!
Its time for our scouts to start their work on their new
ranks! Join us at Hart park for fun, games, hikes,
campfires, marshmallows and camping overnight.
Saturday, June 7th through Sunday, June 8th.
Please see our Events page for more information.
Hike at Placerita
Laurie Rodriguez will lead a hike up the canyon
from the Nature Center to Walker Ranch and back
again. Hike starts promptly at 7:30 am to beat the
heat! Total distance = 4 miles. Come add miles
toward earning your hiking stick! See Events page
for more information.
