Welcome to Cub Scouts! This is going to be such a fun
year for our boys, but I know that all of this can be confusing
to new parents, so below is an outline of what to expect this
year for our den.

Den Meetings:
Our den meetings will be held once a month,
usually on the first Wednesday. Meetings that fall
on a school or national holiday will be rescheduled.

Go-See-Its:
In addition to our den meeting, we will have an
activity called a "Go-See-It" scheduled once per
month as well. Go-See-Its are outings that fullfill
part of our Tiger Rank requirements. They are
usually local, low-key fun activities for the boys
such as a hike or a trip to the fire station. The
dates for these activities will be announced later,
so keep an eye on our calender!
In addition to our den meeting, we will have an

together and do activities. This is an opportunity
for the boys to get to now each other and make
friends from the broader Pack community. We
play games or do team building exercises or we
have competitions, like the Pinewood Derby we
hold every Spring. These meetings are held
(barring holidays) the last Tuesday of every month.
A specific schedule of pack activities can be found
on our Pack Calendar.

have a 1-hour parents meeting. This is for
parents only, please! We will take this opportunity

for the next 6 months, and what help I will need
from you as parents to keep things running
smoothly. This will also be a time to do any
necessary paperwork and to talk about any item
your scout might need for that year.
