Information on Upcoming Trips and Activities

Advancement!
We will be having an overnight celebration at Hart Park,
starting on Saturday, June 7th and lasting until the
morning of Sunday, June 8th. There will be a dinner,
crafts, hikes, Buffalo, campfire stories (if fires are
allowed), s'mores, and lots of fun. We will also have a
ceremony helping our boys start their work on their new
ranks. We need RSVPs for this, so let your den leader
know if you will be attending. Arrival and check-in at
2:30 (1:30 if you are camping and need to set up your
tent). Bring a white t-shirt and a 1-gallon Ziploc bag for
the craft.

Twilight Camp
Time to sign up for Bill Hart Summer Twilight Camp! This runs from July 21st through
July 25th, from 3-8:30 pm each day. It will be located at 30769 San Francisquito Canyon
Road. The line-up of activities and events this year is incredible: Speakers from NASA,
the U.S. Navy Color Guard and the Astronomer's Club, as well as the BB guns, archery,
rock wall climbing, trick roping and lots more. Sign up NOW to save. Register by May 1st
for a discounted rate of $99. After May 1st, $125. Click on the link above to register

Laurie will lead a hike on June 21st up the canyon from Placerita Nature Center to the
Walker Ranch. Total distance = 4 miles. Hike starts no later than 7:30 am so that we can
beat the heat. Meet in the Nature Center parking lot. Bring lots of water, sun screen and
long pants strongly recommended. 2-3 hours. Contact Laurie with questions.

Newport Beach Breakers Boy Scout Night:
The Newport Beach Breakers is having a Scout for all Cub and Boy Scouts on Saturday,
July 5th, starting at 7 pm. This will take place at the Breaker's Stadium at the Newport
Beach Country Club. Pariticipating scouts can enjoy the competition between the
Breakers and the Kansas City Explorers, participate in a player autograph session after
the match, se their Pack name on the Big Screen, and bring homw a free tennis racquet!
It sounds like a great night! Cost is $10 per ticket. Contact Annette for more information

The Newport Beach Breakers is having a Scout for all Cub and Boy Scouts on Saturday,
July 5th, starting at 7 pm. This will take place at the Breaker's Stadium at the Newport

The JetHawks are having their annual Boy (and Cub) Scout Family night on July 18th at 7
pm in the game against the San Jose Giants. This is an overnight opportunity! Scouts
enjoy the game and receive a special scout patch. After the game, they watch a movied
on the Big Screen Video Board, enjoy s'mores, and camp out on the outfield grass.
Campers are given a light breakfast in the morning. Tickets need to be ordered in
advance, so contact Annette for more information (or click the link above) and to RSVP.
Tickets are $13 for dugout box, $12 for box, and $11 for reserved seating.

per scout and included 3 hours of unlimited access to mini-golf, go-carts, and bumper
boats. For our younger scouts, the Mountasia policy of parental supervision on some
activities will apply. Class A uniforms are required to participate! Please RSVP to Annette
or to your den leader.

Annette has organized a Scout Skate at Valencia Ice Station on Monday, July 28th, from
1:30-5:00 pm. The cost is $10.50 /per participant and is open to scouts, siblings and
parents. The more the merrier! Entrance includes a 15-minute lesson, followed by an
open skate time, along with hot cocoa and a cookie. This was great cool activity last year
during the heat of summer. Make sure to bring a jacket and gloves. Don't miss out!
