| Uniform awards: There are a limited number of items that go directly onto your scout's uniform. These are usually limited to pack and den identification and some of the more significant accomplishment awards, such as rank progress and arrow points. | Beltloops Scouts can earn beltloops for academic and atheletic accomplishments. These loops fit snuggly over your scout's belt. They will NOT, however, fit over the end of the belt, no matter how hard you try! You will need to remove the belt buckle from the belt by lifting the metal flap underneath. Slide the beltloops in place and then replace the buckle by clamping the metal flap back into place. For more information on these awards, click the link to the BSA Cub Scout page below. | Activity Patches: Your scout may also receive patches of activities he completed either with the pack as a whole or with his den. These may include trips for Go-See-Its, crafts, hikes, or anything else your den or pack leaders may want to award to the boys in recognition of their accomplishments. Unless you are told otherwise by your leaders, these patches do not belong on your scout's uniform. Different packs and dens have different ways of displaying these collection of patches. Some of the dens in our pack sew the patches onto navy blue sweat jackets, or you can buy red patch vests for this purpose from the Scout shop. Check with your den leaders first for suggestions. |
| Pins: Scouts may receive pins as awards. Up to five of these can be displayed above the left hand pocket at any one time. This does not apply to the pins for the Cub Scout Academic and Sports Program. Academic and sports pins should be displayed on a large embroidered "C" (you should receive this from your den leader) and this "C" should be displayed just like the other activity patches your son has earned (see guidelines to the left). |
