Pack 527
Saugus, CA
Welcome to Pack 527!
We are a pack of about 50 enthusiastic Cub Scouts, their
dedicated leaders and their supportive parents. This website
is designed to provide information to enrich the scouting
experience for our scouts and their families. If you are a
scout in our pack, use this site to help you keep track of our
upcoming events. If you are not a scout but think you might
want to become one, we hope this site will offer you some
guidance as well.

Committee Chair search
A reminder that our Committee Chair stepped down
from her position at the Blue & Gold ceremony. It is
very difficult for a pack to run Chair-less, so we are
looking for a parent to step up and take on this very
important role. If you would like more information on
what this position involves, please contact the
Webmaster or Kelsey.
Handing over the reins...
At our advancement ceremony earlier this month, we
honored Laura Arrowsmith for her many years of
service as Cubmaster to this Pack. She is stepping
down as Cubmaster to finish her graduate work.
Stepping up to fill the position is Paul Friedman who
has been an active member of this pack for the past
two years as our Assistant Den Leader. Our thanks
to Laura and Paul for their past , present and future
support of this pack.
Summer Activities
We have lots of things to do with the pack this
summer. Check out our Events page to learn more
about them. For some events, such as the Ice
Skating at the Valencia Ice Station and the Mountasia
outing, we need a head count prior to the event.
Please email your den leader or Annette if you are
planning to go to either of these outings.
Advancement!
We had our annual Advancement ceremony on June 7th at
Hart Park. Hiking, tie-dying t-shirts, great food, flag
retirement and, best of all, our

Pack Hike at Placerita Canyon

We had a few brave
and intrepid scouts
and families endure
the heatwave for an
early morning hike
to Walker Ranch.
We found frogs and
tadpoles and
learned what
poison oak looks
like! Check out our
